Almost time

I've been home since Oct 20th, there has been a fairly large amount of things to get done. One of the biggest was to get our home rented, we were fortunate to be able to do that quickly and to a friend's son. He is a sure and responsible lad, with a good handshake, I was impressed and happy to have him as our tenant.

We've also had many details like bills and services to cancel, home schooling details for the kids, moving of stuff, the fixing and renting of a rental unit (Laurel and her dad put in a whole new floor while I was gone) passing ongoing business to colleagues, much more moving of stuff, painting, arranging financial bits and pieces, seeing friends, and more and other minutia but there is a spring in my step and a twinkle in my eye... it is really nice to work towards something that is all about you and your family.

Today is the 28th and if all goes well, we will pick up a one way car rental tonight and leave tommorow morning early to Philadelphia where we'll spend an afternoon and night with our good friends Deanna, Guttorm and their kiddos. Then leave early the next morning for Annapolis, Maryland.

Hey guys--good for you! For now we're sailing vicariously through you...but we hope to meet up soon.

We'll be at the NC Outer Banks the weekend of Nov 8. If you can get there, we'll have a warm bed, a bottle of wine, live music and a hot tub waiting...
